Museums and Galleries

Prague has much to offer besides the main attractions such as the Castle and the Jewish Museum. It all depends how much time you spend in the city. I would not suggest going in deep in your visit if you just stay 2 or 3 days. If you have a chance to stay longer, there is a lot to discover. Entrance ticket are in Czech Crowns, kc

National Gallery

The collections of the National Gallery are divided in different locations around the city according to the artistic period. Opening hours are the same for every location. Every day except Mondays from 10.00 to 18.00. Children up to 6 years free of charge and from 7 to 15 reduced price.

The building is already very interesting itself being a huge Functionalistic palace from the 1920s built to host trade fairs. Since it is a very huge building there are many collections inside and several temporary exhibitions are held all year round.

Museum of the city of Prague

This museum will help you to get an idea of the history of Prague from Prehistory to present time with many relics. The main attraction of this museum is a model of Prague of about 20 squared meters built by the archivist Langweil in the first half of 19 century.
